Cookie Policy

Last updated: 21 August 2026

1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device to remember information — for example a language preference or a consent decision. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage in your browser. Cookies cannot run programs or transmit viruses.

2. How This Website Uses Cookies

This website is built to work without tracking. We use no advertising cookies, no third-party tracking cookies and no analytics cookies. Our visitor statistics (WP Statistics) run entirely on our own server without cookies and with anonymised IP addresses.

Only the following technically necessary storage may be used:

  • Language preference — your browser may locally remember which language version (English / 中文) you selected;
  • Consent preference (Complianz) — if a cookie consent banner is activated on this website, your consent decision is stored in a cookie (prefix “cmplz_”) so that it can be remembered on future visits;
  • Login and security cookies — set by WordPress only for administrators when logging in to the management area; normal visitors do not receive these cookies.

3. Legal Basis

Technically required cookies are used on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing a functional, secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); consent is not required for them.

Non-essential cookies (for example for tracking or marketing) would require your prior consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). This website currently does not use any such cookies. Should this change, a consent banner will be displayed before any non-essential cookie is set, and you will be able to accept or decline.

4. Managing Cookies in Your Browser

You can view, delete and block cookies at any time in your browser settings. You may also configure your browser to reject all cookies by default. Blocking technically necessary cookies may affect individual functions of the website.
